Bartender/Mixologist

Reports To: Restaurant Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and charismatic Bartender to deliver a premium beverage experience to our guests. You will mix and serve classic and innovative drinks, engage with customers to build a welcoming atmosphere, maintain strict cleanliness standards, and ensure responsible alcohol service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet bar guests promptly, take drink and food orders, and provide menu recommendations.
- Prepare high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
- Assess customers' needs, verify legal drinking age, and practice responsible service.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and fully stocked bar station throughout the shift.
- Process cash and card payments accurately using the POS system and manage cash drawer drops.
- Monitor and restock bar inventory, including ice, glassware, garnishes, liquor, and beer.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety and alcohol sanitation regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Constant Standing: Ability to stand, walk, and remain upright for 100% up to an 8-hour shift on hard surfaces behind the bar.
- Lifting and Moving: Ability to lift and carry cases of liquor/beer, and manipulate boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Dexterity: Continuous rapid hand-eye coordination for pouring, shaking, stirring, and handling fragile glassware.
- Mobility: Frequent bending, squatting, and reaching overhead or under counters to retrieve stock.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of bartending experience in a fast-paced or high-volume environment.
- Deep knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic beverages.
- Mandatory state-approved alcohol server certification (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol).
- Exceptional communication skills and a friendly, confident personality.
Grooming
- All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per restaurant standards. Professional uniform attire required.
